Winter Sports Updates

Wrestling: Wrestling had their Senior Night vs. Howard High School. They won their senior day dual meet. At the JV Wrestling Tournament, Ashton Barker took 4th place at Heavyweight at the Patriot Brawl. At the Who's #1 Tourney, Shae Fraser placed 4th and Dorothy Seylar placed 7^th.

Allied Bowling: Allied Bowling finished off their season with the annual "Super BOWL"! All county schools were represented.

Indoor Track: Invitational. Girls 4x800 took 2nd place: Lauren Virmani, Nikita Mohan, Alyssa Mattes, and Marella Virmani. Lauren Virmani took 2nd place in the Invitational Mile, and 4th in the Invitational 3200. Marella Virmani placed 5th in the 1600.

Jan 12th RHHS basketball game - what a fun evening! Playa Bowls gave out pom poms and raffles. We also had Hoopin' for Chicken sponsored by Chick-fil-A Clarksville. The Step Team gave a great performance at half time! Congrats RHHS basketball team!

Howard County Athletic Trainer Shortage

The Boosters organizations of all 13 high schools are coming together to advocate for full time HCPSS employee athletic trainer positions at all high schools. Currently the county contracts out the positions and year after year the contractor has been unable to fill all the positions leaving a majority of schools without a trainer. We are looking for volunteers who want to get involved to help advocate for permanent full time athletic trainer positions. If you are interested in getting involved please reach out to Boosters-president@riverhill.org

Volunteers Needed January 16th

We are looking for a number of parent volunteers to help the SGA with a Hot Cocoa social event at school during lunches on Tuesday, January 16 from 10:30a - 1:00p. If you are able to help out please contact Jen Martin at Boosters-president@riverhill.org

RHHS Band Fundraiser

On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, the RHHS Band will be having a fundraiser at Blowfish Poke & Grill located in the River Hill Square (12175 Clarksville Pike #206, Clarksville, MD 21029). Please come out and support the band with a great lunch or dinner. When you order and pay you must mention the RHHS Band so we get credit. We appreciate your support for both the RHHS band and this small business!

Join us Saturday, January 20th at 1:30pm to cheer on the RHHS Boys Varsity Basketball Game. There will be a Gelato and Pom Pom giveaway! Game day sponsor is Ledo Pizza River Hill.

Bakers Needed

The freshman class of 2027 is looking for some donations for their upcoming bake sales. If you are able to contribute baked goods or "supplies" such as cookie mix, brownie mix, cupcake mix, please reach out to Becca Weinberg at rebecca_weinberg@hcpss.org.

Friday Night Lights

Whether you are headed to a big game or out with friends for the evening, stop by River Hill Grill any time 4:00-7:00pm on Fridays and a portion of all proceeds will be donated back to Boosters. See you at the Grill! The RHHS basketball game will be live streamed when available.
